Finisterre Capital is pleased to announce David Burnside has been appointed as a Partner and Head of Business Development. Burnside will report directly to Frode Foss-Skiftesvik, co-founder and CEO.

Burnside will be responsible for communicating Finisterre’s strategies to prospective and current investors across Europe, the US and Asia and working with the Partners on Finisterre’s product development.

“David has an accomplished history of business growth and building strong client relationships in the hedge funds space spanning two decades and we are thrilled to have him join the Finisterre Capital team. With Finisterre’s funds continuing to outperform and return positive results to investors, there couldn’t be a better time to strengthen the communications with our investor base and prospects,” said Frode Foss-Skiftesvik.

Prior to joining Finisterre, Burnside was at BlueBay Asset Management LLP from July 2010, where he was a Partner and Head of Alternatives. Before joining BlueBay, he spent seven years as Head of European Institutional Marketing for Financial Risk Management. Here he led the growth of the firm’s European institutional client base and managed investment consultant relationships.

He started his career as a solicitor in London and Paris with global law firm Freshfields.
