Man Group has announced a number of internal promotions within Man AHL, its diversified quantitative investment manager. These appointments aim to ensure continuity of leadership at Man AHL.
Antoine Forterre and Matthew Sargaison have been appointed co-CEOs of Man AHL, reflecting their instrumental roles in the development and execution of Man AHL’s strategy over several years. Forterre and Sargaison will continue to report to Sandy Rattray, Man Group’s Chief Investment Officer (CIO) and former CEO of Man AHL, who retains overall oversight of Man AHL at a Group level as CIO. Tim Wong continues in his role as Man AHL’s Executive Chairman, alongside his role as Chairman of Man Group Asia.
Forterre joined Man AHL as Chief Operating Officer (COO) in 2015, having previously been responsible for Man Group’s Corporate Development and Treasury Functions since 2011. Sargaison was previously CIO of Man AHL from 2012, having joined in 2009 as Chief Risk Officer.
Nick Granger has been appointed CIO of Man AHL, with overall responsibility for investment management and research. He was previously Deputy CIO and co-Head of Research at Man AHL, having joined in 2008 to focus on the development of next generation strategies.
Russell Korgaonkar has been appointed Director of Investment Strategies, with overall responsibility for Man AHL’s Institutional Solutions business, through which bespoke mandates encompassing a number of strategies are created. He also oversees Man AHL’s risk premia strategies. Russell joined Man AHL in 2001 as a researcher, and was most recently Head of Portfolio Management.
Kate Straker has been appointed COO of Man AHL, having previously been responsible for product strategy and project management. She joined Man Group in 2006 and prior to joining Man AHL worked in a number of areas across the group, including product development and operations. She qualified as an ACA with PKF (UK) LLP, which is now part of BDO LLP.
